Meningitis and MMR Vaccination

MMR - It is advised that any University student who has not previously received the Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) vaccination should be offered MMR immunisation.  If you have already had 1 dose then a 2nd dose will be required. If you're not sure whether you've had the MMR vaccine, the advice is to go ahead and have it. We are able to check your records to see if you have received the vaccines in the past. Even if you’ve had it before, it won’t harm you to have a second, or even third, course of the vaccination.

Meningitis ACWY - If you are aged 25 years or under and starting university for the first time and have never received the Men ACWY vaccine, you should immediately make an appointment with the practice nurse to get the Men ACWY vaccination.
